If you want to know how he plays the funny sounding intro: Cover all strings with your fretting hand at around 1st fret Hit the strings at around about your highest fret with the side of your strumming hand Keep hitting the strings with the side of your hand, gradually moving hitting hand closer to the covering hand, and then go back again No effects needed, just distortion Hope this helps!
