Full score. Duration 4:30. Baton Music #BM529-SCORE. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM529-SCORE).'Pikovaya dama', (English: The 'Queen of Spades', French: 'Pique Dame') is an opera in 3 acts by Pyotr Ilyich Tschaikowsky to a Russian libretto by the composer's brother Modest Tschaikowsky, based on a short story of the same name by Alexander Pushkin. The aria 'Da, vspomnila...' is sung in the 2nd act of the opera by Pauline, Lisa's friend and companion. Pauline sings Lisa and her friends a plaintive song about a person who, like them, was enjoying life. However, it admonishes that the only reward for that enjoyment is death.
