In a literal sense, the work is a concerto, or piece for one or more solo instruments with accompaniment. In a humorous sense, the solo instruments happen to be waste containers. This work is dedicated to Mr. Richard Laue, who served as a school custodian for 42 years in Itasca, Illinois. Appropriate within the first year of instruction and beginning of the second year. Clarinets do not go above the break, and there is limited use of accidentals. Plenty of doublings in the lower voices. Grade 1.
