1812 Overture composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. 1840-1893. Arranged by Edwin Arthur Kraft. For Organ. Sheet Music. Published by Lauren Publications. PE.LAU032. Edwin Arthur Kraft was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1883. He studied music at Yale University under Horatio Parker, and then became the organist of Saint Thomas Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. He then spent three years in Europe studying with Grunecke in Berlin and Alexandre Guilmant and Charles Marie Widor in Paris. After returning to the U.S. he served as organist at Saint Matthew's Church in Wheeling, West Virginia before becoming organist at Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio, from which position he retired in 1959. Edwin Arthur Kraft died on July 15th, 1962. Transcribed for Solo Organ by Edwin Arthur Kraft. this is a reprint of the 1920 H. W. Gray edition.
