Z-rondo is a blazing fast 'hoe-down' with an ostinato in the left hand and an off-beat melody in the right, creating a 'boom-chick' effect. Special effects include glissandi and playing with the shafts of the mallets on the bars. Great for a student early in four-mallet development. Two short pieces for marimba.
