This tune was published on p17 of Thomas Jarman's second book, Sacred Music, comprising Thirty Six Select Hymns , London. c1812. Hymn Tune Index tune number 13760. This was one of four tunes from Jarman's second book to be republished by Samuel Dyer in the first edition of his collection A New Selection of Sacred Music , Baltimore. 1817, and it was reprinted in the second edition of the same collection in 1819.
